Grant Kerr

Grant’s Coaching odyssey began in 1977 at North Shore Winter Club and led to top B.C. bantam provincial championship 10 years later.

Continued in minor hockey with North Surrey, North Vancouver Minor, Burnaby Minor and
Burnaby Winter Club before moving to Junior B with Coquitlam Warriors to
capture another B.C. title. When the franchise folded, moved on in Jr.B
to Port Coquitlam Buckaroos for 10 years and also North Delta for two
almost years.

When Major Midget came calling Grant joined the Northwest Giantsfor six seasons  and was on staff when the Giants became the first B.C. team to win the prestigious Calgary Mac’s Christmas tournament title.
Also had the opportunity to spend three years in Junior A with Coquitlam
Express before rejoining the Giants franchise that later became the
Vancouver Northwest Hawks. Grant states that he is extremely fortunate and thankful to
work alongside exceptional coaches and even better players for over 40 years.

Grant was inducted into the B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009
